Districts

Diamond District
The Diamond District is certainly the richest one in the city. The Satrap's palace (though modest by Realm standards, it is still impressive in size standing against most of the architecture in the city) is here, as well as the winter homes of his Four Advisors. The Diamond District carries the illusion of being extra tall -- It is built on an elevated slope in the land, and its buildings are usually at least four stories, and in many places, often more, as opposed to many other places in the city, where buildings rarely exceed four stories. There are no taverns; all residences here are privately owned. There are restaurants and salons, though they are expensive, conspicuous, and at times, exclusive. It is the only area of the city where extra jade was spent in the name of luxury. Most of the city's Dragon-Blooded population has at least some sort of holding here. It is the only area of the city whose population is closely watched as a matter of course -- the satrap's guards keep him informed of who is near his seat of power.

Vorpal District
The most traditionally residential district in the city, it is at the bottom of the hill upon which Diamond District sits. Many of the city's permanent residents live here, though the amount of time they actually spend at their homes varies with the season and time of week. There are a number of taverns in this district, and at least a few of them have lodging available at any given time. Their most common customers are the people who live there, though visitors from other cities will occasionally opt to stay in this district if they have acquaintances who are permanent residents of the city. There are a few small markets here -- most of them sell everyday wares, but the northwestern corner of the district contains a number of shops where food supplies can be purchased in large quantities.

Tempest Plaza
Tempest Plaza is the city's cultural district, if it can be said to had one. Neighborhoods are few, but the district is oft-visited. Those who do inhabit the neighborhoods are often wealthier than those in the Vorpal District -- they are the mining operation supervisors, the market owners, the foreign investors on extended stay, etc. Also, what ministry offices aren't in the Diamond District (to be determined -Dan) are housed here, as well as the city's largest banks. There are taverns and markets here. The taverns tend to be more expensive, though not ludicrously so, and the markets are generally the only place in the city where minor luxuries can be obtained -- stylish tanned winterwear, aesthetically pleasing furniture and equipment, and the like. Any citizens with the time or skill to profit from their artistic talents probably sell their goods here. The Abbott has a modest lakefront villa here, and there is a small dock here where an iceboat ferries worshippers to and from the Air Dragon shrine during lit hours at no cost. There are several places here where large social gatherings are held, when they do occur.

Pyramid Square
Neighborhoods are largely inhabited by mercenaries and their families; formerly lodging for Legionnaires. The taverns and shops are all oriented towards this trend; this is one of the only places in the city that one is able to purchase weapons and armor of good quality.

Scytheholde District
A series of neighborhoods similar to the Vorpal District, with the notable exception that a number of public offices are here -- notaries, apothecaries, smaller banks, and a library, though it is a fairly mundane one, with many of the books relating to mining mountain caves and farming harsh land. There are some limited history texts available, and perhaps more to the keen researcher. Several corner vendors here sell every day necessities, though those seeking more exotic or larger purchases will have to go to a district with a larger market. The northernmost part of the Scytheholde district is home to many of the city's agricultural residents; it contains stables and granaries, where much of the city's food is stored.

Ferem Haraku - A Dragon-Blooded Cheraki mercenary, the captain of the guard Dawendae has hired to keep peace in the city.
Melnoch Tohogo - Head of the Treasury Ministry's mining advisory department, he is the one of the most influential locals in satrapy government.
Nunaho Klecht - A former white collar criminal, indebted to Kitono, who heads Dawendae's tax collection wing
Ragara Dawendae - Imperial satrap of Frostgate; while once an influential man in house and Realm affairs, a loss in an unfortunate political conflict led to his appointment in Frostgate, far from the business of the Imperial City.
Ragara Kitono - Dawendae's closest ally and head of Frostgate's Treasury Ministry.
Tepet Keranga - The Immaculate Abbot of Covenant.
Talonlord Tepet Seljuk - Commande of Legion forces in the area and man in charge of seeing it to that the satrapy's jade is protected.
