Composure functions as Appearance?
Should we treat Composure like Appearance, in that the difference between the Composure ratings is a modifier to Mental DV? Kirkland 18:58, 12 November 2009 (EST)
I don't think so. I think white wolf struggled with appearance being a dump stat because it didn't contribute to anything statistically. Composure on the other hand doesn't have the same issue, it contributes to willpower as well as rolled in situations with some frequency. I don't see a need, it plays into social combat already as is given that its a major part of your willpower score. Just my personal opinion on it though. --FyreFly 22:55, 12 November 2009 (EST)
Combat System
It occurred to me in the process of looking over weapon stats and trying to clarify certain things in my own mind that the simple/complex action system may be more than is necessary. It is a system that I like, but I'm not sure its a system that has benefits outweighing the negatives. Simply put, the time and effort to convert and specify everything might not be worth it considering we have to run a story and make the system as we go.
I would suggest we go back to a straight exalted system, I think it will be easier on everyone and we really haven't put much work into dedicating ourselves to the simple/complex system. I talked it over a bit with Dan and I think he agrees. What do you think Brian?

It seems like "ticks" are just another way of doing the same thing. Quicker (simpler) actions take fewer ticks than more complex ones. I'm fine going back to an exalted style system.
