Connections

What do you guys think about combining Contacts and Influence into Connections like they do in Dragon Blood? Star Wars seems to have so many spheres of influence that combining the two backgrounds would make a lot of sense to me. What do you guys think?

Agreed in full. Contacts and influence are typically separated in heroic games when resources are sparse, and its very possible that you have influence simply because you are powerful (e.g. a Solar sorcerer has influence not because of his social graces, but because the local villages rely on his blessing for a good harvest). While that sort of relationship is still possible in Star Wars, much more often than not, influence means knowing people who, for whatever reason (respect, owed favors, kindness, fear, allegiance, rank, etc.) are willing to let you have your way or pull strings in your favor. This goes hand in hand with contacts.
