Talk:Congraduations!
Descending Water 1
- The Characters graduate from their respective schools.
Descending Water 9
- Aden's Graduation Gala. Door's open at six and dinner is at 8. Guests would be expected to arrive before 7:30. Showing up right at 6 is kind of lame. There will probably be between 300-400 guests, about half will be DBs, 40% mortal dynasts, and 10% patricians. Cathak by far the most represented, but every house besides Mnemon present. People are probably invited as families, including yourselves, so your parents may come depending on if the are in the Imperial Capital. I will let you decide on and post for your character's families. As young, unattached DBs, many people will be trying to arrange marriages involving you.
- If you have nothing to add, I will move on to Aden's announcement. Just let me know by either saying so or making a small post finishing the character's conversation/taking your seats. Each House has their own table. House Cathak has the head table as well as a few others. Houses Sesus, Peleps, and Tepet have tables near the center, suggesting they are important guests. Per usual, adult family members sit seperate from the children/unexalted family members. Well represented famlies, such as Cathak and Sesus, have seperate tables for their less important family members, which are off to the side of the group of tables. Houses with less members present, such as Tepet, have their lesser family members at the foot of the table, the side away from the head table. Chibuike and Akachi sit in the middle of the head table, as hosts of the gala. Aden sits next his mother and a man unknown to you sits next to Aden's father. Aden,s younger brother is not present at the head table nor at any of the other Cathak tables. They few patricians present have tables out on the very ends of the dining area.
- I have nothing significant to add, go ahead and move on to Aden's announcement as far as I'm concerned. Though if more dialogue is desired between characters I'm okay with that as well. --FyreFly 21:21, 15 June 2011 (EDT)
- No, my goal here was really just to introduce all the characters so that they have met, and we have a chance to actually see our characters and get a feel for them. Also, to introduce the goal of our mission. Additionally I wanted a low key setting to get a feel for how this works with the play by post. The next series of scenes will have a battle so I can see how that works on here. Anyhow, just waiting for Dan to post or reply, and I will move the scene along. Also waiting for Dan to finish his character and for Brian to start posting his... --Macabreengel 08:43, 16 June 2011 (EDT)
- I'm caught up on the reading at least... I will get my character up soon. Kirkland 17:27, 16 June 2011 (EDT)
- Excellent! Oh also, let me know what you think about your ally that I made. I kind of made things up without much input, so we can make some adjustments if you like. --Macabreengel 07:37, 17 June 2011 (EDT)
- Reflexive Lore (current events) test. Caedmon is aware that there is an anathema in the South called the Scorpian King. There have recently been some loses to it, and there is talk of it being next Bull of the North. Udo is only aware that there is an Anthama in the South called the Scorpian King.
- Reflexive Perception (eavesdropping) test: results in main body of post.
- The Storyteller driven part of this scene is over. Your characters are welcome to eat, leave, talk to Aden, talk to eachother, pick up chicks, or whatever is most appropriate for your character. If your character does nothing of interest, feel free to post something to wrap up the scene from your characters point of view. If you want to interact with someone, feel free to post the beginnings of that interaction, and I will follow up. The scene will end when both your characters return to wherever they are staying while in the Imperial City. --Macabreengel 13:33, 21 June 2011 (EDT)
I'm curious about the results of the Perception check - can Cad smell what the Scorpion King is cookin'?
Dan 15:27, 21 June 2011 (EDT)
Yes, as he is in the kitchen making the dinner for the gala. Also, poisoning you.
All of the characters have left the scene, so I will end it there. In a few days, runners come to see your characters and a lunch is set up. In the interest of getting things moving, the scene will be skipped. I will post the info your characters would have gained in the discussion of the next scene and you can ask any questions your character would have asked. Brian's character would not have been in attendence at the lunch. Then we will begin the next scene, which Brian's character will be present at. --Macabreengel 14:25, 1 August 2011 (EDT)
