Akachi was always quiet and intense. As a child she prefered to be busy and was not fond of unstructured free time. She rarely got angry, but when she did, it was difficult to bring her back down. Akachi did excellent in her studies, but made few friends. When Akachi exalted, it nearly ended in the deaths of two boys that had been picking on her. Fearing that her temper and new powers would result in trouble, her house pulled her from school and arranged for a Immaculate monk to finish her education. The monk successfully taught her self control but found she grew restless during meditation and other restfull activites. While intelligent enough for either the Academy or the Heptagram, she showed no interest. Akachi's natural instinct was to attend the House of Bells, like most of her family, or the Cloister of Wisdom. He tutor naturally wanted her to attend the Cloister, but Akachi felt that the life of a monk would be to peacefull for her. When she finally decided on the House of Bells, she was quickly accepted.

Akachi found the House more challenging than she expected. While she found the academics and physical exercises within her range of natural talents, teamwork was not. Akachi's one-on-one teaching may have helped her in some ways, but it never taught her to develop the personal skills to deal with a group of equals. When in a group with a strict structure, she could get by, though she fumed when her superiors were less capable than her. When Akachi was appointed to a leadership position, she could get things accomplished through her own ability and sheer will. It was clear, however, that she could not get those under her to their full potential. The worst though, was amoung equals. Akachi was too stubborn to follow someone less able than her if she didnt have to and she lacked the charisma to inspire people to follow her. Luckily, by the end of her career at the House of Bells, she had starting working with a number of cadets that could manipulate and control her to everyone's benefit. Akachi graduated in the top half of her class, but well below what her abilites would suggest she was capable of. As a result, on the eve of her graduation Akachi received a fierce talking down by the head of the school. The speech had the desired affect and Akachi has become more aware of her shortcomings and how to manage them.

Akachi joined the Sesus legions immediatly after graduation. She proved a powerful combatent both physically and mentally and was promoted quickly. In an attempt to cover her weakness, Akachi directed her career towards smaller more specialized units where she could have more of an impact individually. As a result, Akachi gained experience with scouts, cavalry, special weapons teams, and other misc units. At first her physical ability and planning covered for her, but eventually it became apperent to her superiors that she was not capable of getting the most out of her soldiers.

Akachi had not even considered a domestic life when her family announced to her that an agreement had been made for her and Cathak Chibuike to be married. Akachi received the news will in the Threshold and put it out of her mind, figuring she could find out more after her current tour of duty ended. When she did return to the Blessed Isle she discovered that Chibuike was away in the Threshold and their meeting would have to wait. While back on the Isle she discovered that she did know who Chibuike was from her time at the House of Bells. She also discovered that while Cathak Chibuike was also working in the legions, he was not much like her. Akachi was not thrilled to learn that her future husband was a womanizer that would rather party than attend temple. Akachi was not stupid, however, and was well aware that marriage in the Realm rarely resulted in true companionship. She decided then that her marriage would be a purely political one and that while she would do her duty to the Realm and bear children, she had no intent to make Chibuike her friend and companion.

Akachi didnt do anything to put off the wedding, but she didnt do anything to hurry it along either. When the wedding did come around, she was glad to find out that Chibuike at least had the respect not to sleep with another woman for a few days before and after. After they were married, Akachi was upfront about her desire for the marriage to be a political one only, and she never confronted her husband about his mistresses or tried to change him into a more husbandly figure. A few years later, Akachi gave birth to their first child, Aden. Akachi wanted to have a profound affect on their son, but she found it hard to relate to a child and was gone most of the time, just like his father. As Aden began school, it became clear that he was more like his father than her, but she managed to instill more reverence for the Immaculate Faith than Aden's father had. Akachi was near giving birth to their second son when Aden exalted at the age of 12. Between their second child being born and their first exalting, it has hard to argue that their marriage had been a success, at least politically.

Before Aden went to the House of Bells, Akachi convinced one of her relatives, Sesus Odair, to tutor Aden and keep an eye on him for her. Odair reported that Aden was more like her than she realized and feared that he may have the same problems Akachi did when she attended the House. He reassured her, however, that he could teach Aden the humility that was so hard for Akachi to learn as a girl. To her private delight and public expectations, Aden excelled at the House of Bells and Akachi was quite proud of her son. Akachi's second son, Ruk, seemed to be more like Akachi than his father. While only 8, Ruk is a quiet boy with few friends, but a fierce mind. Akachi can not help but wonder what future trials her second son will face and hopes that he will exalt as well.

Time in the Threshold gave Akachi a chance to support a Wyld Hunt in an area her legion was stationed. Akachi's superiors decided to take a chance and attach her to the group of dragon bloods that was going to support the hunt. They figured that while she was a little young for the Wyld Hunt, she showed great physical prowess and was very cunning. Luckily, Akachi worked well with her new assignment. Akachi thrived in a situation where she did not have to worry about leading and training soldiers and the members of the hunt were impressed with the faith and power of one so young. Akachi supported the Wyld Hunt a few more times before she was officially transfered to the organization.

Akachi is one of the youngest members of the Wyld Hunt. The only other members around her age are young Immaculate Martial Artists that have also been accepted as support to the main combat groups. If her current success holds, Akachi could be a true member of the Wyld Hunt in less than a decade.
