Background

As the eldest member of the Clan Mayhiros, Tesos is the heir to the Celeren Manse Hearthstone, and de facto leader of the Marukan Alliance. In his younger days, he was a master horselord, and on several occasions, led the riders of Marukan to victory against seemingly insurmountable odds. He has proven himself a master of the Dragons' gifts, and in his older days, does his best to keep the free-roaming lifestyle of the Marukani intact in an increasingly institutionalized world. Deep down, he resents the knowledge that Marukan would have to fall back on their allies in Lookshy for protection in the event of serious conflict, but he knows that Marukan's military is as strong as it could become without encroaching upon the freedom of the nearly nomadic Marukan people. In the years before his ascension to Clan Elder, he befriended an Eclipse Caste Solar horselord hailing from the Arbogassu clan, Remus. He recognized Remus's incredible diplomatic talent, and designated him as Marukan's ambadassador to the Council of the Concordat.

Presently, he fears war with Thorns is soon at hand. Knowing, however, that such a thing was likely inevitable, he would prefer to see Marukan through it himself before his death rather than leave the battle to another, less experienced leader.
