Background
From birth, Lazarus was a warrior of the Dawn. His mother died in labor, leaving his father unable to separate mercenary time from family time. As a result, Lazarus grew up learning the life of a soldier in the mercenary capital of the threshold, Nexus.
As he grew in size and ability, Lazarus took a more active (and rather prodigious) role as a mercenary than his father would have liked, soon letting all of the banter and praise of his fellow mercenaries get to his head. It seemed that this would cost him dearly when he was unexpectedly (and brutaly) impaled by the cold jade of a Dragonblood's daiklave during a heating conflict between the threshold and the imperials over a plot of territory. It was at this moment, as inconvenient to the gods as it might have been, Lazarus was touched by the glorious light of the unconquered sun. Unfortunately for the dragonblooded and imperial alike that day, no dynasts survived to alert the wyld hunt of the new Solar that was on a warpath from that instant in time.
Following his exaltation, his father was unable to handle the reality of what Lazarus had become and coldly rejected him as a warrior and a son. But perhaps this was only just to avoid the grief following the surely imminent death of his brash and headstrong son. With a startling lack of empathy for his father, surely gained from the life of a mercenary, Lazarus set out into creation to stake his claim of honor and glory in the world.
Shortly following his departure from Nexus, Lazarus made way to Great Forks in hopes of finding motivation and purpose. As if his intentions were diplayed on his sleeve, a bulky and intimidating figure called to him from the shadows. Even more unnerving was the fact that this figure called to him by his name. Unafraid and bold, he drew his weapon and approached the man, prepared for an ambush. Lazarus immediately benefited from the mentorship of his initially mysterious Sidereal mentor. The goals and intentions of the Gold Faction were soon revealed to Lazarus, and he took them to heart. It was time that the Solars took what was rightfully theirs, and Lazarus would be the one to do it.
Under the guidance of Phaeron Briggs, Lazarus set up base near Greyfalls and slowly began to recruit soldiers to join his army. For several years Lazarus trained in the arts of combat and war under the close supervision of Briggs, all while building up and training an army for his cause. With the gods willing, this force would one day give way to the mighty legions Lazarus intends to use to topple the realm and establish rule in the name of the Unconquered Sun. At this point in time, it is common for Lazarus to be mistaken for a joke of a leader, in charge of a hopeless group of idealists. And it is also likely that those who watch over Lazarus with interest know this, wondering if it may someday be the downfall of the bronze faction's precious dynasty.
Personality
Lazarus walks a line between the iron integrity of a leader and the incomprable insanity of a blood-lusted warrior. This fearless military prodigy is never afraid to demand answers, and certainly isn't afraid to bust some balls doing it. Many may take him as a foolish, unfit leader, but many are mistaken. Within the heart of this mighty dawn caste burns a strong compassion for his soldiers and an unquenchable thirst for conquest and victory.
