Blades of the Maidens
Bodhisattva of the Masked Starfall
Blades of the Maidens
- Forged during the first age right before the usurpation by the primordial god Autochthon just before the 5 maidens seduced and destroyed their now fallen brother. As a last honor to the once loyal brother these were forged and one blade was made in his honor, the set then was tied together so that the blades may never be separated.
- The blades are made of an alloy of jade and starmetal, decorated hand guards of orichalcum protect the user and the moonsilver hilts form to the hand of any user. (No magic metal bonus to any of the users. Attunement cost the same for all exalt types.)
- The swords cannot be drawn without attunement, and the powers of the swords cannot be used except by the person who is attuned to them. Furthermore, only 1 of the swords powers can affect the user on a given action. The affect can be used multiple times in an action, but only 1 of the swords powers can be used.
- Blade of Journeys: The maiden of Journeys decides which journeys are completed, but also which are not. With this power the strikes of this blade enforce the maiden’s ability to sap the strength out of a travelers legs. When the blade strikes an opponent, the target of the attack must roll Stamina + Resistance against a difficulty equal to the wielders permanent essence. If the roll succeeds there is no additional effect to the attack. If the roll fails the target subtracts 1 yard from his dash and move actions until the next sunrise. These effects stack with multiple attacks and other penalties such as wound penalties.
- Blade of Serenity: This blade works in the same manner as the blade of secrets except that it allows the user of the blade to directly attack the intimacies of an opponent rather than the memories.
- Blade of Battles: The Maiden of Battles directly guides the hand of the user, when in mass combat the user of this blade may ignore the War requirements in combat. This will allow a single user to use his full combat polls in mass combat, even if his war or his commander’s war rating is not high enough. This effect only affects the user of the sword, and would have no effect on his troops if he led any.
- Blade of Secrets: This blade allows the wielder to directly attack the mind and memory of the person under attack, the attack must first hit. If the attack hits the wielder may chose to inflict no physical damage and instead attack the mind. The same attack roll is then applied against the Dodge MDV of the target, success over the Dodge MDV allows the user to attack the victims mind.
- Blade of Endings: After the blade strikes its victim the user may choose to spend a single mote to cut the strand of fate that governs the victim’s life. The victim of the strike will either die immediately, or the user may choose any time in the next 5 minutes, though the time must be set at the time of the strike. This effect works perfectly on mortals, but does not work if the target is outside of fate in any way. This applies to creatures who exist outside fate, such as abyssals and demons, as well as beings who are currently outside of fate like people in the Wyld or underworld. If used on an exalt the effect makes it so that the next time the target is reduced to incapacitated or lower the character dies instead of going into dying health levels. This effects lasts for 1 year and 1 day.
- Blade of Night: For 1 mote of essence per attack, a number of shadow blades follow the direct line of the attack equal to the users essence. These attacks automatically hit if the initial attack hits, and are immune to hardness but soak can still be applied. The attacks are not enhanced by the users strength or extra successes and simply do damage equal to the base damage of the weapon, per shadow. Minimum Damage is equal to essence.
