Edge of the Empire: Minor Characters

From The Whereabouts

Aeris Zephren

Aeris Zephren is a prominent figure of the Arkanian corporate meritocracy. She worked her way into power as a scientist for Arkanian genetics projects before becoming a chief liaison officer for Imperial Intelligence, overseeing many top secret projects across many companies throughout the planet. She is a fierce imperial loyalist and fulfills many Arkanian stereotypes: ruthless, arrogant, and highly dedicated to her work.

Dr and Mrs Borsk

The group first met Dr Borsk while assisting him explore an ancient Jedi temple on Bilrindar. While there were many casualties, the expedition was at least an academic success. A few months later, they were contacted by Mrs Borsk because her husband had been taken captive by a local imperial garrison. After negotiating a substantial fee, the group agreed to attempt to rescue him. Despite Malloc's fear that he was taken for questioning about the runaway teenager, they discovered he was taken because of his research on Jedi. Eventually the group decided to go forward with the rescue. While they intended to sneak into the converted office building, they eventually just fought their way through the entire Imperial force in the small town. After freeing the doctor, they 4 of them were forced to retreat before more Imperial reinforcments showed up, so they were unable to further explore the offices to find out why Dr Borsk was being kept alive and on location.

Dalo Namore

Dalo is a young male Zabrak with dark gray skin and long white hair who holds an apparent position of authority on the Planet Vondarc. When running from an Imperial Capital ship Vondarc allowed The Kraken's Kiss to land and denied The Imperials access, apparently under his authority, in exchange for refuge and permission to leave Dalo tasked the crew with eliminating the threat of Imperial Intelligence terrorists on the planet. The crew succeeds in arresting the Imperial Agents and turning them over to Dalo, establishing a line of trust between the two parties which leads to cooperation in exchange info about what the Imperials know of the crew, specifically Malloc. Dalo offers the crew work in the future if they are interested or in the area. (Episode IV: Seeking Refuge)

  • Dalo contacts The Kraken's Kiss to run an extraction mission on the nearby planet of Sullust to assist the Sullustan Resistance Movement which Vondarc secretly supports. The Kraken's Kiss successfully extracts three Sullustan dignitaries and safely delivers them to Vondarc where they are paid well by Dalo for the dangerous work. (Episode IX: Exporting Valuable Cargo)

Graad Dral

Graad is a Mandalorian bounty hunter who is leading a significant operation to capture and collect the bounty on Malloc. As a powerful member of House Benelex, a part of the Bounty Hunters Guild who specializes in Imperial contracts, Graad is able to draw upon significant resources to pursue and capture Malloc and anyone who stands in his way.

  • The crew has yet to encounter Graad directly, but met his formidable underlings in Episode VIII when they attacked the Kraken's Kiss aboard a space station and while they tried to escape aboard their ship.

Jania Dahn

An Ithorian commander in The Rebel Alliance, who the crew encountered on Krant, a small planet in the Bothan System. She had a high level of intelligence regarding the capture of Dr. Borsk and the movements of one of The Emperors's apprentices arriving on the planet to free an ancient imprisoned Sith spirit. She led a small group of rebels, along with the crew, in a successful mission to stop the Sith Apprentice.

Ket

Ket is a powerful Arkanian crime lord and slaver in the capital city of Arkania. Ket captured Malloc and intended to turn him over to the Imperials for reward, however at the last moment Baric and Gand rescued Malloc, intending to return him to his parents, but instead discovered that Malloc was on the run from his parents and the Imperials for good reason.

Remmy Saretti

Remmy is a long tenured and successful trader who primarily operates along the Corellian Trade Spine; once a small, one-ship operation Remmy now owns a small fleet of cargo carriers. Remmy was a friend of Baric's parents, and during the invasion of Duro agreed to smuggle Baric off planet until it was safe to return, however with Baric's parents killed in the attack Remmy was left to raise Baric from childhood. Now a father figure to Baric, he wishes for his adopted son to join the trading business, but Baric has a more adventurous heart.

  • Remmy asked a favor of Baric and the crew to deliver goods to a possible rebel government on Derra IV that was under Imperial Blockade, too risky for the legit trader to get involved with, but possibly tipping his hand at Rebel support to the crew of The Kraken's Kiss.

Slyssk

Slyssk is a Trandoshan mercenary who our heroes met on the planet Bilrindar when they arrived as backup after half of Slyssk's crew didn't make it out of hyperspace. The two groups worked together without any direct conflicts, though no deep trust was built either, both groups certainly proved their worth. Most of Slyssk's crew did not make it back to Port Driss, but the mission was a success other than the missing and dead mercenaries.
