Working on a general character concept for a Sylvain (probably) roaming bard.

General backstory: Was raised by his mother in foreign territory I haven't decided on yet, while his father roamed the continent as a poor bard attempting to make enough money to send it back to his wife and son. When his mother died unexpectedly his father was forced to finish raising him, he did so the only way he knew how - by taking him on the road and traveling together as bards. Sensing that they needed a fresh start, his father decided they should head towards Alberia, where their life might significantly improve. (Without a sense for the size of the continent I'm guessing this could take years depending on how often they would need to stop.) Before, or perhaps just as, they reached Alberia his father is killed - maybe by one of those direwolves you mentioned and shortly after he would arrive in Nairn. I'm thinking he would have some magic and/or summoning powers.
