Stories
Personality
Severnaya has little regard for the well-being of others. Though not completely void of compassion, she accepts hunger, pain, and slavery as facts of life. While she would not enjoy watching innocents suffer or die, she would do little to prevent it -- unless of course, there was something in it for her.
Severnaya is a compulsive gambler. In her years living on the streets, her gambling losses were offset by stealing from others. Her view of the world is one where everyone fends for themselves. In order to reach the upper echelons of power, one must accumulate wealth using any possible means. Gambling is, in her opinion, her best bet to reach the top.
She takes the more direct approach to solving problems. She exhibits a forceful and intimidating social strategy. If she can't get (or win) what she wants, her next approach is to simply take it; and she's not shy about saying it.
Intimacies & Motivation
Since her exaltation, Severnaya has had nothing but trouble with the Realm's presence in the north. From the moment she exalted, she learned of the Wyld Huntsmen that were a threat to her life in Gethamane. During her stay in Covenant, she has come to despise the satrap and its leaders, who captured and nearly killed her. Her motivation is to rid the entire North of the Realm's presence, starting with Covenant and expanding to Gethamane, Whitewall, and beyond.
Severnaya has three intimacies:
- Dice of the Heavenly Spectrum - These dice have fueled her gambling addiction to a dangerous level. She is more inclined to participate in any wager or game involving her 5-sided dice.
- Establishing Solar Rule in Covenant - Severnaya has built a strong relationship with Chronus and Adamant Frost Lord and is passionate about their quest to overthrow the current satropy in Covenant.
- Kaliph - The plague doctor mask in her possession, tied to the Nephwrack known as Kaliph, has aided her drastically. Though weary of becoming corrupt or subservient to the mask, Severnaya feels she would be a considerable disadvantage without its power at her disposal. Keeping the mask, and keeping control of it while wearing it, are critical to her success in driving the Realm out of Covenant.
