Background
Emi was born in the warlike nation of Harborhead in the capital city of Kirighast where they begin teaching combat at a very young age, because of this Emi was very popular in her youth. She excelled in every way in a society that valued war and cunning above all else, she stood out from her peers surpassing even the older children almost effortlessly. Despite her apparent god-given ability she trained endlessly so that someday she would be admitted into the Royal Guard, an elite fighting force legendary for their ability, devotion, and ruthlessness. At the age of 14 Emi became the youngest woman to ever join the elite, all female fighting force that required the highest level of devotion. Every young girl in the Guard must be a virgin and swear neither to marry nor take lovers outside the Guard while she is still a member. Emi fought and trained among her female companions for four years, battling both the kingdom's rival the Varangians as well as conquering many persistent southeastern tribes as a 'Bride of Ahlat'.
It was in battle with a particularly fierce tribe, led by one of Luna's chosen, that The Unconquered Sun chose to exalt her gracing her with the ability to lead her troops in destroying and enslaving the the southeastern people. It was upon her return that she found the once close allies, the Dragon-Bloods, waiting for her return. Apparently news of her mighty exaltation traveled faster than she did and had reached the ears of the Wyld Hunt before her return. They had come to kill her, Emi felt betrayed and alone when they came for her, betrayed by her own allies. However, she soon found that she was not alone and not all allies were so easily turned against her; her fellow Guard women would not allow the Dragon-Blooded to kill her. A battle was waged in the busy streets of Kirighast between the Royal Guard and the Wyld Hunt, despite the mighty effort and fierce battle tactics of the Guard, they simply could not match the raw power of the Dragon-Blooded Wyld Huntsmen. Almost all of her regiment was destroyed in the battle but Emi, along with a single close friend managed to escape the city and flee deep into the southeastern jungle. They used expert knowledge of the terrain to evade those hunting them, laying low for some time, buying their time until the Wyld Hunt lost hope of finding them.
She found a humble residence in a small village that bordered the dangerous territory of Rathess, they were able to survive a few days journey from the city because many of the travelers to Rathess enjoyed a comfortable place to stop before finishing their journey into the city. Emi found herself welcome here as her admirable skill at war and considerable experience in jungle warfare made her the most adept solider in the village. She found her place leading the Guard of the small village which game naturally too her and she enjoyed the drastic change of protecting people instead of conquering them. In two years time this village had begun to grow as the tribes that surrounded the area and other small villages realized that the best protection could be offered if they joined with the village, the growing community has began to spread into a scattered group of small communities protected over by what has grown into an army lead by Emi. While she still values the protection of the village she has built up more than ample fortification and personal community guard to protect the community while simultaneously building up a secondary force which she intends to use to accomplish her long term goals. She has made allies in her stay, people who are interested in seeing her move on to larger things than simple village protection; she has established a mission objective to drive the Dragon-Bloods who once betrayed her out of the threshold she believes does not rightfully belong to them.
Noah came across this village as a Cult of the Illuminated agent, turned Guild merchant traveling to Rathess to explore the lost city for ancient artifacts. It was with the help of Emi and a small contingent of troops that Noah was able to secure what he was looking for, barging for their own help so that he would use his skills to help Emi's army. Noah agreed to travel about creation recruiting warriors for Emi's cause while also using his Guild connections to better supply the army. Since Noah has begun to help Emi with the army it as doubled in size and Emi has begun to lead small attacks against traveling Dragon-Blood caravans, building up to her hope of attacking the Dragon-Blood garrison at Gem as her first major attack.
