2013 Death Pool

Just a reminder that our Death Pool starts January 1 - Post your list on this site on New Years Day. So far I believe Jonny, Dan, Tony, and myself are confirmed participants. If you know any other people who want in, let them know. I'll allow people to join afterward, only on the condition that they can't pick any celebrities on any of our lists.

I stole some of the scoring system from Death Pool Guru, with a few customized tweaks of my own.

Rules

• Pick 10.
• Don't look at other people's lists until yours is posted.
• Person must be listed on Wikipedia to be eligible.

Scoring

On the death of a celebrity on a contestant’s list, points will be awarded according to 100 minus the age, minimum of 5 points if they are older than 95.

5-point bonuses:

• First Blood (First Confirmed Death in Pool)
• Colbert Bump (if the celebrity was ever a guest on The Colbert Report)
• When Animals Attack (Killed By Animal)
• The Threat Down (stacks with "When Animals Attack," if celebrity is killed by a bear)
• Once you go Black you don't come Back (When Black Celebrity Dies in Black history month)
• Holiday Cheer (Celebrity Dies on New Years Day, Valentines Day, St Patrick's Day, Easter, 4th of July, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas Day)
• Suicidal Tendencies (Celebrity Death By own Hand)
• Carradine Style (stacks with "Suicidal Tendencies", self explanatory)
• Beat the Clock (Celebrity dies in last 7 days of pool)
• Hat Trick (5 points for every 3 confirmed Death)
• Unlucky 13 (celeb dies on the 13th of the month)
• Robbing the Cradle (celebs under 21 years of age)

Other bonuses:

• Daily Double (2 celebs die on one team in the same day doubles your points for the day)
• Ride the Lightning (Celebrity is killed by Lightning 25 Points)
• Juice is Loose (Celebrity is Killed By OJ Simpson 50 points)
• Killing Spree (3 die in a row on one team with no one in between, the 3rd is worth triple points)
• Grand Slam (4 celebs die on on team in one month, the 4th is worth 4x points)
