Episode VIII: Trouble in Hutt Space

The Crew of The Kraken's Kiss arrives in Hutt Space with two ships, one of which is loaded to the brim with antiquated battle droids ready to sell for a profit. Though the crew does find some pirates willing to take the entire haul off their hands they decide to back out of the shady deal and sell their loot piecemeal on the open markets of Hutt Space. They have minimal trouble finding buyers for the ship and battle droids, and even get a decent price for the droid mind. With new found wealth the crew decides to spend several days on the space station finding ways to use their considerable cash. Malloc makes the most significant purchase, going under the knife to get an implant in his head. They had a long shopping list, but before they really get started they notice a bounty hunter taking particular interest in Malloc, and before they know it they were ambushed by a group of bounty hunters in the streets of the space station. Malloc was clearly target number one and was stunned in the initial ambush, however Baric and Gand proved to be formidable foes and the group was defeated. Malloc recovered a data pad from the apparent leader of the group as they made a hasty exit.

As they made their way back to the ship they noticed they had a tail, after an unsuccessful attempt to loose them they took more drastic measures. Baric confronted their pursuer in a side street, while Malloc tried to get some distance but instead picked up a second pursuer. Gand was able to pick off the second which allowed the crew to make it back to their ship with no one left following them. Though they had made quiet the scene. To their relief their exit from the station was not blocked.

However, before the group could clear the busy space surrounding the space station they were engaged by a Firspray ship, like their own, presumed to be a part of he same bounty hunters who had attacked them inside. The bounty hunters got the initial advantage on The Kraken's Kiss, but the tide was turned by the ships superior maneuverability and armament leading to the disabling of the bounty hunter's ship. As they swept in for the killing blow they received a message from the space station warning them to back off, though they protested they decided not to encourage the wrath of the space station or it's Hutt owners. Instead the crew made a quick exit and set course for more familiar, though distant, spaceport of Gerrenthum. In the bustling spaceport of Gerrenthum the crew was able to complete their shopping list without further trouble.

Malloc is also able to hack into the stolen data pads from the bounty hunters and get some valuable information on their attackers. He discovers that House Benelex, a member of the Bounty Hunters Guild who specializes in Imperial contracts, has taken up his bounty and were the ones who attacked them in Hutt Space. A Mandalorian named Graad Dral, who was in Hutt Space at the time of their attack but not directly involved appears to be leading he effort to capture Malloc and collect the bounty.
