The Range Homes
The Grass Spiders live and train at the range home complex, located diagonally to the Chayan metropoli of Larijyn and Matetha. The purpose of having the range home complex is, like many about the Order, a pragmatic one. Contracts accepted by the Fiends vary wildly in their deadlines - some hits permit years of planning, while others must be completed within hours of their acceptance. As such, members are effectively on call around the clock - with that in mind, it's much easier for the Order to contain its members in a coherent geographic region. Furthermore, the Grass Spiders are expected to operate outside of the normal boundaries of society - it becomes much easier to do that when one lives outside the boundaries of society. There's also a social component to the practicality of the range homes - members of the Order spend an overwhelming amount of their time engaged in deception of some kind. Often, the only people they even have an opportunity to be candid with are other members - although few would admit it, most of the Grass-Spiders appreciate the opportunity for genuine socialization.
Range Home Locations
The Manse
Home of the Three Elite Fiends, who stay in the manse's inner chambers, the foreboding manse is also where members come to receive their missions and be briefed on relevant operational information points. The Manse also houses the Order's considerable arsenal of First Age and planning rooms where combat and mission strategy is discussed between the Fiends and members.
