Talk:Session 11: Shifting Sands

From The Whereabouts

Questions?

I still plan to provide more background on information on Desmond Sands, as well as a summary of the Pendleton files.

Any questions for J.P. during the video conference briefing?

What kinda of info do we have or can we get on Pendleton's office? Who runs security? Could Dimitri hack into their building management system, possibly their security system? Does it appear that Desmond is being held here or is just at this office? (Is his location confined to a single room for an extended period of time? Is the emergency beacon that accurate?) Do we have any means of contacting him?

What sort of extraction does JP have in mind? Are we smash & grabbing this?

I know there's not a whole lot of planning that can be done given the circumstances of this mission, which is fine. I addressed some of your questions in the briefing. I'm not going to go into detail on the office building because, as you'll see soon, Desmond will be on the move.

Can we get some info on Desmond's fake ID? We could try contacting him and staying in character. Maybe we could pretend to be someone that writes about paracritters and wants to have lunch with him? I assume things wont be that easy, but the info may end up being helpful. Also, I would want to use my talismonger contact to see if she knows any telisleggers that work in the Deep Lacuna. I know getting you in contact with people is a service contacts provide, but I forget the mechanics. I figure that if we are forced to go there, it would help to have someone familiar with the area.

As far as knowing LA goes, Wex should be pretty helpful, he grew up there and lived there for most of his life. Not that contacting someone in LA would be a bad idea. Along the same lines as Dans post, might make sense to look into Desmonds fake id, maybe going by his residence. --FyreFly 10:45, 9 February 2011 (EST)
