Background
Sanura Weisz was born in Egypt, the daughter of the American Ambassador George Weisz. He thought her mother was an adventurous and unusually sophisticated member of the nomadic Bedouin tribe with whom he just had a short romance...nine months later she handed baby Sanura over to him with little more than a note. Sanura grew up traveling the world with her father, who as it turns out is a great-grand nephew of Erich Weisz (better known as Harry Houdini). As a serious statesman, magic tricks and illusions were simply a way to pass the time and keep his curious daughter's attention as she grew up.
Sanura is well-educated, but still lacks a degree since she never took enough classes in any one subject, or any one university, to fulfill a major. Much to her father's dismay, she took to the family tradition of performing magic like a duck to water and she loved it. She found it was a great ice-breaker and often led to various jobs in entertainment and travel (cruise ships, casinos, hotels, festivals, etc.). Unfortunately, she hasn't always traveled with the "right" crowd, and sometimes finds deeper friendships with animals rather than people---especially cats.
Personality
Sanura is friendly and knowledgeable without being pretentious. She has a knack for making people feel secure, so much so that they tell her all sorts of secrets which she tries her best to keep. She's good at collecting gossip and secrets, but not keen on sharing about herself. (More to come....)
Visitation
(Tentative)On a vacation with her father in Russia 6 months ago, her father was shot at and later kidnapped by "terrorists". Sanura had just happened to pull her father into a local craftsman's workshop just in time for the bullet to miss his head and lodge into the wall of the building. Then, at the ransom meeting she successfully negotiated her father's release without the aid of the US government. Upon seeing this, her mother Bastet visited her on a lone walk through the Russian beech forest. She revealed to Sanura that the terrorists were titanspawn and gifted her with her birthrights (Ubasti the Lynx, and the Book of Thoth) amongst other powers. Since then, Sanura has worked to gather information on titanspawn to satisfy her curiosity and ensure that no innocents are put in harm's way (animals, children, her father).
