Arus

Arus.

Arus is a Golem that Landon created only a few months ago, shortly after he arrived in the apartment and took up a majority of his free time in his first several months. The Golem sands approximately 9 inches tall and appears to be a replica of a Voltron action figure. It displays some signs of intelligence and certainly and independent will that only sometimes goes along with what Landon prefers, further more it is fully capable of speech. However, there is a flaw in the Golem's speech that annoys Landon endlessly, it only speaks Japanese. Landon is fluent in the language and can communicate wit it well, but he consistently attempts to teach it to speak in english, all of his efforts thus far have been fruitless.

Arus is capable of a limited amount of flight, this mosly just allows it to move around a small setting with ease and fly up to his shoulder where it commonly sits when not roaming. Arus isn't always with Landon, he more frequently inhabits Landon's room or his shop at the apartment when Landon is away. This appears to be as much Arus' choice as it is Landons.

Treasures

  • Goggles: Landon almost always wears a thick pair of old aviator goggles over his eyes, the dark lenses normally keep his eyes completely obscured. When he doesn't have them on he doesn't let them stray far, keeping them ontop of his head in all but the rarest of circumstances. The goggles are one of his earliest creations and serve an essential purpose to him. Landon's goblin blood runs deep and his eyes are that of a Troglodyte, making him very sensitive to light and giving his eyes a faint but noticeable glow. The goggles keep this from being a problem on both fronts. Meanwhile the goggles are imbued with their own power and provide him with a unique ability, a power similar to Seek'n'Spell lets Landon interpret any script he comes across. He cannot directly read any written symbols, but he can at least interpret their meaning.
  • Steam-Gun: One of Landon's proudest creations is something he created just before coming to stay in the apartment. Landon has a well documented and outstanding obsessions with just about everything steam powered, and he's gone so far as to convert non-steam items into Steam Tech. This treasure looks like an old pirates pistol, but functions much differently, the pistol is fired on steam power alone that is stored up within the sizable barrel. After firing a large cloud of steam shoots out from the mussel rather than any sort of gunpowder residue.
