Episode XIV: Calamari Crisps

From The Whereabouts

Handler Nine contacted the Cell at their safe house to update them on their interrogation of Agent Q and give them a new mission. Their newest mission was to recover The Union Secretary, Corr Horne, from his hiding place, which Agent Q had given them some information about. The rebellion believes Corr will be laying low in his apartment, or at a safe house that Agent Q had used with Corr in the past, both are likely traps. The group splits up, with Castor going to the apartment and Faleer going with Coryn to the safe house, disguised under a downtown market. Unexpectedly, Coryn's stop to get a new hold-out is unsuccessful so when he arrives at the market as Faleer's backup he is unarmed.

Faleer's line of questioning to the store owner results in two men following him out of the store, when they make a move to arrest her, Faleer attempts to make an escape. Unfortunately, it does not go according to plan and Coryn isn't able to provide backup with his weapon and when the encounter goes south quickly. With the contraband on Faleer's person, she is taken by the Imperials, rather than planetary police.

Coryn contacts Castor and follows the Imperial transport to a sub-station where Faleer is held, Castor goes to the garage to pick up weapons and Edwin for backup. Cell Nine jumped the fence on speeders, however they set off an alarm while doing it which eliminated stealth as an option. They busted into the garage and the gunfight started immediately. Cell Nine overtook the first line of defense quickly and entered the sub-station itself. They rounded the corner and eliminated the guard at the front after a short exchange, but as it ended reinforcements arrived from the elevator at the end of the hall. The gunfight was prolonged and bloody, and the first real damage was done to Cell Nine. With the squads of Imperials down, the group swept the floor revealing offices and an evidence lab where they were able to recover Faleer's datapad and some other evidence.

They descended down the stairs, rather than the elevator, and quickly eliminated the guards a the security desk. Unlocking the blast door from the security desk they entered the holding cells, where the guards and arresting officers were making their last stand. The gunfight between the two forces was deadly for both sides, eventually only Castor was left barely able to stand. With few other options, he shot Edwin in the head and carried Faleer and Coryn up the steps to make a last ditch effort to escape. Unfortunately, as he burst through the back garage door headed for the speeders with a fallen comrade over each shoulder, the Imperial reinforcements who had gathered outside the station opened fire and eliminated any chance for escape. Cell Nine would never escape Imperial captivity, they would be interrogated and tortured for information about the Rebellion and eventually killed. Only Edwin was given the privilege of a quick and painless death.
