Background

Anastasia is the daughter of President Charles Ellison and a member of FATE. She is a skilled marksman and is well versed in guerrilla warfare. Her father never had much time for her growing up, and when her parents went through a bitter divorce in her early teenage years, she lived with her mother and rarely spoke to Charles. With the help of a few lawyer friends, Mr. Ellison protected his fortune from his ex-wife, who fell on hard times soon after the divorce. Anastasia got involved with Mothers of Metahumans, as she had several metahuman friends and was sympathetic to their cause. This is where she learned much of her combat training and experience.

After Mothers of Metahumans helped successfully liberate San Francisco from the Japanese, the group became disorganized and strained. She distanced herself from the organization during this time, seeking a more fulfilling career on the right side of the law. Her success leading teams using guerrilla tactics caught the attention of FATE recruiters who were looking for someone to lead small SWAT teams in high pressure and sometimes outlandish situations.

After her father was elected President in 2070, she has made several attempts to improve relations with him, with limited success. As President, he is a very busy man.
