Using her anima power, she attunes to the manse and takes the hearthstone. She tells her history teacher and asks if he knows anything. He tells her a story about how her ancient ancestors were water aspected before a line of fire aspected dragon bloods moved into the area and watered down the original family’s blood. There is a legend of a manse deep underwater, but there have been now water aspected dragon bloods that could verify. She must have found the rumored manse. She shows her father the treasure. Her father is excited and gives her a hearthstone amulet to wear it in. She claims that as the oldest and a water aspect, like their ancestors, she should have the throne. Her father denies her and, as a fire aspect himself, he claims that the legend of a water-aspected heritage is nothing but a rumor. Depressed, she retreats back to her seclusion.

During her deceased mother’s birthday celebration, Fay introduces her dancing to the people with a big performance. She is given much applause and praise. Afterwards, her father introduces her to a man he has decided will be her husband. She is shocked and doesn’t respond. He introduces himself and says how much he loved her performance. Seeing that she was told nothing about this before hand, he excuses himself and asks if they can have dinner tonight. She nods, still in shock. Her father explains that his family has a treaty with the spiders that make the silk used for silk armor. They are very rich and a treaty between the two families will be very helpful. They are hoping to add exalted blood to their family. Fay again feels betrayed by her father. How could he just sell her? Still in a daze, she goes to the dinner with her fiancé. He seems kind and intelligent. He gives her a gift of silk armor. It is cut into one long continuous strip of silk. He explains that, depending on how you wrap it around yourself, it can hide beneath almost any outfit. They have a long dinner, and she even thinks she could learn to love him. She decides, however, that her fate should be her own and that she can not marry him. She decides that she will inform her father tomorrow. Her father simply refuses to listen to her feelings and says that it is already decided. Feeling that she has no other option left, she decides to run away. She retreats to her room to begin preparations. She writes a letter to her fiancé informing him that, even though they had a connection, she will not be his wife. She will find her own destiny and will not be a piece of meat to be sold and traded by men. Then, she gathers what belongings she can carry, takes a large amount of silver, and sets off. She gives the letter to a servant to give to him when he awakes then heads to the stables. She takes her favorite horse and heads east towards the Sandy River.

How I Became A Grass Spider

Fay took the bowl from Zealot. "Princess?" she asked raising an eyebrow. She smirked to herself as she picked herself a pinch of the therapeutic plant. She took her time, and a few puffs, before continuing.

“I found myself in a little city off the Maruto River named Nechara and in the employ of a crime lord there. I use employ loosely of course; our exact relationship was a matter of disagreement. In any event, he quickly discovered my lust for blood and my ability to get into the best parties. The first time I killed for him was for a measly sum of jade, but I saw how much he made from the disappearance of his biggest competitor.” She closed her eyes and grinned to herself remembering some secret detail of her story.

“In any event, it wasn’t long before he was almost running the city, and I was a full partner. Even though we were running a criminal organization, my work had never been contracted out. The only reason his organization was expected was because he had been spared so far. Because of my disguises, I wasn’t even on anyone’s radar.”

“Then the woman missing an arm appeared. I later found out it was Aleni. She approached us and offered my companion a very large sum of money if his assassin would kill an enemy of hers. She gave us the details and a large down payment and left. Later when we were alone that night, we argued and fought over whether or not to take the contract. He made the mistake of saying that I was ‘his,’ and that ended it. The knife was in his neck before he knew what he said.”

When fey mentions the kill her eyes glaze over like an old woman remembering the best times of her youth. It is quickly clear that she lives for the thrill of a kill.

“I went off that night to complete my job even though I wasn’t sure I would meet up with the one armed woman now that my partner was dead. The exact details are long, and I must admit a bit embarrassing, so I will save them for another time. Afterwards I found out that my mark was Ryn, and the hit was a recruitment exercise. They saw enough potential in me to bring me here, where I began my training and worked as an associate for some time. I worked with The One-Eyed Queen primarily until just recently when I was appointed to this group.”

She sighed at the completion of the story and placed the bowl back on the table. She jerked her head towards Fenrir, “What’s that mutt’s story? He’s no regular dog….”

Fallback Move: Black Widow

Should the mark be male, or possibly the right female, Fay will seduce him and, after exhausting him, strangle him to death.
