F.A.T.E. PCs

This page is intended to be a discussion of future F.A.T.E. missions to give the player characters a little more choice in the direction of the storyline and character development.

Drakes Bay Demolition

F.A.T.E. is developing plans to destroy Shiawase Atomics' Drakes Bay nuclear power facility. They have gathered significant evidence that Shiawase is producing a never-before-seen weapon of mass destruction at the facility - the Mana Bomb. Dr. Yau has some evidence that Shiawase has managed to solve a mathematical conjecture he co-authored decades ago in his thaumatergical studies. He believes there is still time to cripple the research being done by destroying both the facility and the research data they must be gathering at the plant. Normally once data is on the matrix, even Shiawase's internal systems, it's impossible to erase, but the amount of data they need to collect is immense. F.A.T.E. can only hope there is one copy of it, and it must be destroyed along with the facility.

Fortunately for F.A.T.E., they saved Dr. Hideki Tonogawa's life in a previous incident. He owes them a favor and may be willing to risk his career to aid the team.

The primary objectives are:

  • Destroy the Drakes Bay nuclear facility
  • Make it look like an accident -- the CFS Government cannot be implicated; it would cause an international incident.
  • Any discovered research datastores must be destroyed with the facility

The team has the following advantages:

  • Dr. Hideki Tonogawa owes the team a favor (rating 5) for saving his life.
  • Shiawase CFS CEO Manami Coltrane's DNA sequence and voice pattern
  • Access to 3 complete mana-bomb devices and 2 dual-natured "detonator" mechanisms
  • California Intelligence is working on collecting a map of the facility

Items F.A.T.E. would like to accomplish before undertaking any action against the facility:

  • Fingerprints and keycards with access to the facility
  • Feel free to add to this list
