On land, animals (except for jackals, which are unaffected) stop in their tracks and refuse to move until she has left the area.

Background

Little did Ophelia know she was to become the chief Exalted architect of the Yozi Reclamation when she was a young girl in Chiaroscuro, born to a pair of Ream officials stationed there. Her mother was Dragon-Blooded, and her parents had high hopes for her Exaltation. They raised her to the standard of excellence to which all Realm children are held, and time and again, Ophelia could not live up. She wasn't smart enough; she wasn't strong enough. She did become exceptionally good at deceiving her parents, however.
