Descending Water 11

Cathak Aden, Peleps Caedmon, Sesus Izumi, and Tepet Marek Udo meet for lunch and to get an explanation from Aden. Aden explains that the Scorpian King is an anthema in the South that recently survived an attack by the Wyld Hunt near Paragon. The details are murky, but there are a number of suspicious circumstances surrounding what happened. A number of rumors include the Scorpian King being ready for the attack with a small army, all of the survivors deciding to stay in Paragon and send letters of what happened to the Blessed Isle, and a number of the Hunt not being with the group during the attack. Aden thinks some kind of betrayel occured and wants to discover what happened. The survivors stated that the anathema had been severly wounded during the battle. Aden thinks that discovering what took place will be more challenging than fighting the beast.
Aden has secured passage for them from Noble to Paragon on a ship. There will be room for them, a few retainers (Brian's), any mounts, and the small amount of luggage they will be traveling with. He plans on having them ride south along the Great Coast Road to get to Noble. He admits that it will take longer than taking a boat, but he only has so much jade. Also, they will get to see some of the Blessed Isle and maybe find some trouble along the way. Note: The Cloister of Wisdom is near Noble, so Udo has probably seen this area before. He may have even traveled this part of the Great Coast Road to or from the Imperial City before.
Post any questions your characters would have asked and I will give you what Aden would have answered. When your questions are satisfied, let me know and we will begin the scene on the morning we leave the Imperial City for Noble. Izumi would fill Tycho in on the details when he arrives in the Imperial City on Descending Water 13.
