The Kingdom of Vitalis is one of the most populous and wealthy Kingdoms of the East. It's capital city is situated deep into the eastern mountain ranges which gives Vitalis one of the coldest and least fertile territories in all The Hundred Kingdoms. However, what they lack in agriculture they make up for with abundant natural resources and efficient mining operations. The walled city is one of the most opulent in all The Kingdoms and is a cultural icon and home to many of the regions greatest artisans. Beyond the walled capital city well defended mining outposts litter the mountain sides and haul their lot back to the city to be refined and sold.

Vitalis is an orderly and disciplined society with an mighty military tradition of esteemed soldiers that live a privileged life in a highly class structured system. (Samurai meet Spartans) These elite warriors are supplemented by a strong mercenary force funded by the mining industry the fuels the economy. Though they don't always like the way The Guild does business, they have unquestionably benefited greatly from The Guild's growing influence in the region. This has created a growing tensions between the two ruling classes of the Kingdom. The esteemed and honorable warrior class and the more shrewd and business savvy merchant class.

Callisto Rhea Damaris is a young and ambitious woman who rose to prominence and power in Vitalis rather quickly. A member of the merchant class since birth, she was the only child of wealthy merchant parents who groomed her for leadership. She attended an Academy in Nathir before returning to Vitalis to take over her parents mining business. Once she took over a series of cunning decisions and calculated leadership caused the business to boom to one of the most successful in Vitalis and The Hundred Kingdoms at large. It was a surprise then when she decided to enter politics and run for Chancellor of the Aristocratic Government. She is now serving her second term as Chancellor and has proven to be a pragmatic and capable leader. She maintains tense relations with the competing warrior class of society, but is extremely popular amongst the merchant class which she has allowed to operate almost without regulation resulting in a booming economy. Typically the warrior class is content to stay out of politics, but there is growing tension that one wonders if it will drive them to enter the political fray with the merchants.
