Suggested Music: Stella By Moor - Cowboy Bebop OST 3

Moon's wings fluttered delicately as they lifted her lithe frame from the deck of The Geronimo up towards the crows nest that served as a mostly unnecessary viewing point aboard the airship. She settled into a natural perch along the iron rails that surrounded the small wooden platform, one hand lightly wrapped around a rope for added balance.

"What are you doing up here?" Moon spoke quietly, barely audible over the dull sounds of the air bag flapping in the wind behind them.

"Enjoying the silence."

"Oh, like it is anyone's fault but your own that you can't do that in your room." She couldn't help but chastise him slightly for his nightly escapades. "It isn't even that quiet up here."

"Don't make me order you back to the deck, Number One."

"Do not call me that." Her stern tone with him was about as common as it was serious, 'Number One' being about the least favorite of the dozen or so nicknames he called her.

Ash took a drink from the open bottle of wine that he'd carried up to the crow's nest with him, the bottle was nearly empty by now, ready to join the other empty bottle that was now being used to collect cigarette butts. Ash blew a cloud of smoke towards the rising sun, The Geronimo was sailing due east towards the sunrise as they headed back towards The Grass Spider's range homes.

"You had better get rid of your company before we get back, you know how much Ruk hates when you bring back uninvited guests." Moon continued without a response from Ash, trying not to sound like a lecturing big sister. Even if she was younger and by far the smaller of the two.

Ash cracked a knowing half smile at her comment and the dual layers of what she'd just politely implied. While Ruk certainly did hate when Ash brought back 'uninvited guests', Moon disliked it just as much if not more. As for 'uninvited guests' it was what Moon liked to say to delicately refer to Ash's playmates, fuck toys, marks, targets, or whatever else one might call the company responsible for keeping Ash awake till sunrise.

Ash groaned softly as he contorted slightly so he could lay back across the small platform, his legs hanging off the side and his head dipped below the rail on the other. "Can't you attend them?"

"Them?"

"Them."

Moon sighed softly before giving her all too common talk, "You know you shouldn't be doing this anymore. You don't even seem to enjoy yourself. Look at you moping in silence up here, what's the point if it is all meaningless?"

Ash rolled his head over towards her slightly, still hanging over the edge of the wooden planks, she was already beginning to drop off the crow's nest towards his cabin. She knew he wasn't listening, he was half passed out already and would probably sleep most of the morning away awkwardly on the platform.

"Exactly, my dear. Exactly."
