Though she votes with the Faithful, she takes her Deliberative duties with a grain of salt.  She doesn't spend a great deal of time in its chambers, feeling that her efforts in medicine and engineering will contribute far more than what little she could offer to a discussion between ancient demigods.  This naivety may change as she grows older, but in the rashness of her comparative youth, she does not see the necessity of this infighting -- she does not yet realize that verbal infighting serves as the only buffer to costly wars between the Solars themselves.

Likewise, she doesn't spend much time in her principality (Solars are required to spend two out of every five years in Meru; Amana spends closer to four of every years there).  Though she wouldn't have chosen so if offered the chance, her prior Incarnation opted to take a principality during the Ochre Fountain period.  Thankfully, it is a rural affair, and the running of the territory is well taken care of by her [[The Abbott of Forgotten Tides|husband]] and Dragon-Blooded administrators.

Amana is the chief surgeon at Meru's largest hospital (name to come), and an influential member of several committees overseeing the state of health care (public and private) throughout Creation. While she is younger than some of her Dragon-Blooded staff by centuries, her Solar Exaltation and the standing of her previous Incarnations have allowed her to rise quickly through the ranks. This has engendered some bitterness, though few of her colleagues are naive enough to expect any different scenario. This aside, resentment usually disappears after Amana's work is witnessed, as her skill, even at a comparably young age, matches or exceeds any other physician's at the institution.

Amana's caseload is typically small, but exhaustive. Even extremely serious injuries can be handled competently by a Dragon-Blooded senior physician given the proper tools. As such, Amana reserves her time at the hospital largely for treatment of Wyld mutations, extensive biomagitechnical augmentations, and cases where extreme rapidity is necessary for survival. Her patients are comprised of almost entirely Exalts -- most situations requiring her intervention would kill a mortal long before they made it to Meru. In a grind, she will lend support to her senior staff. On an average day (barring emergencies), she has the authoritative clout to pursue only cases of particular interest to her.

In addition to treatment, she has many administrative duties at the hospital (more elaboration on this later), and is involved in a good deal of clinical research. Her interests are split dually between the mutative effects of the Wyld and the proliferation of advanced surgical techniques throughout all of Creation's healers via I AM. She is currently working with her peers in the design of a protocol system to be implemented into I AM's knowledge database, allowing it to provide instruction in these techniques and even to provide dynamic medical assistance to facilities thusly equipped. She is also a semi-frequent guest lecturer at any number of Creation's Deliberative-licensed academies, usually in the fields of mutations, poxes, and automaton medicine.

Likewise, she doesn't spend much time in her principality (Solars are required to spend two out of every five years in Meru; Amana spends closer to four of every five years there). Though she wouldn't have chosen so if offered the chance, her prior Incarnation opted to take a principality during the Ochre Fountain period. Thankfully, it is a rural affair, and the running of the territory is well taken care of by her husband and Dragon-Blooded administrators.
