Kensei attended the Cloister of Wisdom despite his families objections but never pursued becoming an Immaculate Monk. He did retain a great deal from his time at the academy and he is a highly skilled martial artist and well versed in the Immaculate Texts. He rose quickly through the Imperial Legions as his charismatic demeanor made him many friends and his skill on the battle field earned him many allies. He took a brief hiatus from the Imperial Army near his 100th birthday to serve in The Wyld Hunt for several years, when he returned he showed that he had learned a great deal from his encounters with the horrible anathema. A Dragon-Lord at the time he soon started to show he was worthy of promotion, perhaps by fortune it was not long after that an opening was created within his legion and he was quickly chosen to succeed his predecessor as General; a number of investigations have looked into Kensei's involvement with the assassination of his superior but none have found any evidence to support it. |
