History

Rek Mattac left Death Watch after their first major defeat at the hands of the 'True Mandalorians' 58 years BBY. Having lived his entire life as a mercenary, as many Mandalorians of the time had, he went back to what had always been his way of life. Taking his closest and most trusted companions with him, along with his family, he set off to build an army that would be known around the galaxy.

Naval Forces

Fighters

  • Z-95 Head Hunter: The most common fighter in the Supernova navy, its versatility and low cost make it the perfect fighter for the mercenary group.
  • Aurek Tactical Starfighter: Commonly used as an interceptor, these fighters are relatively rare but are piloted by some of Supernova's best pilots.
  • V-19 Torrent Starfighter: This heavy, bomber class fighter is used in assault on planets and large ships and provides the fleet with some added heavy firepower.

Transports

  • Incom Y-4 Transport: This is the smallest transport in the fleet, but also the most common. Capable of carrying 50 men, with support equipment and vehicles these transports perform most small troop drop-offs.
  • TransGalMeg Xiytiar-Class Transport: These large transports are designed to carry large forces but are relatively slow and lack the armament of other ships its size; because of this these ships are often escorted by fighter squads or small attack transports.
  • Skipray Blastboat: Supernova as a limited number of these heavily armed ships and uses them primarily as escort ships for troop carriers entering hostile territory.
  • Republic Light Assault Cruiser: These heavily modified ships were once used for ambassador purposes only, but when Supernova acquired them recently they underwent heavy modifications to suit the mercenary army's purposes.

Capital Ships

  • Sorosuub Quasar Fire-Class Bulk Cruiser: The most common capital ship in the Supernova fleet is capable of carrying two full wings of fighters as well as a large attack force. Each ship is configured slightly differently, allowing some to carry as many as 50 fighters and others to carry even larger groups of troops.
  • Marauder Corvette: These assault ships pack the largest punch of any Supernova ship and are primarily used as support ships during large missions, the fleet contains only a few of these and is careful not to let one fall into an unfavorable situation.
  • Hammerhead-class Cruiser: These are some of these oldest ships in the fleet, but these rellics have proven they're still equal to their more modern counterparts. Many of the highest ranking officers in Supernova's military consider these capital ships the best in the fleet, a modified version serves as the fleets flag ship.

Ground Forces

  • 10,000 manned troops
  • 10,000 sentinel droid troops, many in possession of the navy.
  • Homebase on Bestine IV
