The Scavenger Lands are, by comparison, relatively free of the Realm's steel arms and green tongue.  Because of this isolation from Terrestrial political affairs, it houses the largest concentration of Celestial Exalts in all of Creation's vast expanses.  Few among the scholarly would contest that with the return of the Lawgivers the Scavenger Lands are a breeding ground for major change and perhaps a foreshadow into what fate awaits the rest of Creation.

In these Lands, potential crackles almost tangibly among its movers and shakers, and with it, tension.  A storm brews in the East whose thunders will shake very foundation upon which institutions centuries in the making are established.  Soon, the Scavenger Lands will erupt into a cataclysm unforeseen save by those who will write its pages in history.

The stage has been set; only questions remain: What will send the Scavenger Lands forward into their next era, what will end, what will begin, and who, as a result, shall pay the price?

War laps ever higher, as the tides,
The Chosen bicker, and man abides,
Two evils meet, on tainted mud,
The lands of man are bathed in blood,
But if you wish to spare defeat,
To the lands you go,
Where three rivers meet.

The events of Disposable Heroes can be considered a direct prologue material as well.
