After the massive explosion and detection by the Imperial probe, the Empire was on to their location. Faleer's skillful flying kept the patrols from detecting their presence. They quickly flew around to the other side of the crater, where they found a suitable place for landing that was about two miles from the temple. They decided to go the rest of the way by speeder. The alien foliage grew more exotic and marshy as they approached the temple. About half way there, they encountered a Devaronian traveler that appeared to be injured. The man was able to convince the team that he was hunting and was injured and needed help. Faleer offered the use of the team's long range comm, but as she approached him, he attacked. Unfortunately, he had friends in the trees that also rained blaster fire down upon them. After a long firefight and some injuries, the team was able to dispose of the threat and continue along their way.

The finally arrived at the temple and parked their bikes near the entrance. They explored, noticing a pack of baby Gundarks living on the first level. They surmised that the temple dated back to the Old Republic era when Force users were prominent throughout the galaxy. The temple didn't appear to be Jedi or Sith, but of some third party. They finally encountered The Asset, who was standing at the far end of the second floor of the temple, looking out a window. He warned the group that they were being followed by a dark force entity. They were able to establish some trust when the team revealed they knew Kyra Keel and were there to protect and extract him from this hiding place which was now in jeopardy. It was then that the dark force user following them revealed himself, charging across the temple. The team rained blaster fire upon him as he brazenly approached. He deflected some shots with his lightsaber but did take two hits, sending him into the shadows to recover.

The team along with The Asset headed for the exit, discovering their speeders were being guarded by the Sith's attachment of battle droids. They were able to take out the droids and nearly reached the speeders when the pack of baby Gundarks burst through the nearby door with the Sith behind them. A firefight and lightsaber fight erupted in the room. The Asset was outmatched and had his lightsaber damaged in one of the strikes, leaving him helpless. In a flash of brilliance he pulled the Sith's spare lightsaber from his belt with the Force and continued to protect the team as they eliminated the Gundarks and prepared to escape. Finally, the Sith was overwhelmed by blaster fire and defeated and Cell Nine was able to escape the temple with The Asset.
