I could theoretically make any day or night work, but it might be difficult for me to make it work on short notice.  In order to do the experiment that I'm repeating many times over break, I need to heat something for 24 hours before using it the next day.  So, if I start that heating process, it would be disadvantageous to RP the next evening because I'd have wasted the heating time (the experiment takes me until around 10 at night, so although it would be fine to do an overnight on the same night, an evening session wouldn't work).  So, for me to effectively work an evening session, it'd be best to have at least one day advance notice - planning the experiments around this isn't a problem so long as I know.  Overnights are probably fine any night on a whim.

Revising my earlier comment, I can probably RP any night, but Tues. will require notice. My work schedule is flexible so I could also do overnight any night. [[User:Kirkland|Kirkland]] 01:21, 14 December 2009 (EST)

Tony, I don't know if you've put any thought into a storyline yet, but I thought something revolving around the colonization of the moon or Mars would be pretty cool. There could be any number of reasons (technological, mystical) why a corporation or government or dragon would want to control another world. It could be a race to get there first. This could also work for a OWOD storyline (though I'm still in love with The Looking Glass as well).
I backed up Seventh Legion today. Download it just so we have copies on as many hard drives as possible.

I've been brainstorming for a character, and came up with this, though depending on the setting and story I will need to tweak it of course. But I'd like to play a former corporate executive. He was found to be a "leak," selling corporate secrets and information to the highest bidder for years. He's been on the run for a while, and has essentially revamped his identity (perhaps a facial transplant, or other alterations so he is not recognizable from his old self). The corporation has called off the hunt, but if he turned up somewhere they would still be out to gt him.
Can you guys believe all the content we've generated over the years?  Just hit random page over and over again and marvel. It's awesome.

So he would be good at leadership, manipulation, he'd be ridiculously wealthy, but quite a lavish spender as well, addicted to the lifestyle he had as an executive. He'd retain a swath of corporate knowledge and he'd be an adept social engineer. He'd lack at hardcore combat skills, low-level streetwise, and tasks he felt were too menial for him. His hacking skills would be low-to-moderate, he would have a broad knowledge of information systems but does not spend much of his time actually hacking.

Obviously, this guy has some moral issues - very selfish, greedy, and difficult to trust. Willing to bite the hand that fed him for so long. I think this might be a good complement to Melvin, though they overlap a little bit socially, they have very different bases of knowledge (if I remember Melvin correctly).
It really is amazing and I'm pretty glad it's lasted as long as it has and generated so much content. I would say the sitting here and clicking random page has gone from something I enjoy to being a full fledged hobby of mine. Also, this is a little late but did you guys realize that March 25th, 2012 was the 5th anniversary of this site being live?

You addressed this Tony, but I had some input. I absolutely adore the idea of having Mars colonized (See: Kaubôi bibappu), so I'd be all about that. It sounds like we'd have a pretty combat-weak group, with 2/3 or 1/2 of the players using primarily social characters. Fortunately, if we're colonizing Mars, I can make a bounty hunter with kung fu skills and a smoking problem who I swear isn't a copy of Spike Spiegel.
Eh, some of those statistics are skewed. Just remember that [http://aartedafuga.blogspot.com/2009/06/secessao.html some sites] link to our maps of the world... possibly mistaking them for reality? I really can't tell. [[User:Kirkland|Kirkland]] 05:35, 15 April 2012 (EDT)

Like I said I can tweak the idea, if combat is essential to the storyline then we don't want to be too stacked with social characters. Though one way to mitigate that problem is to have some hired hands. This is just one character idea I had at lunch today; I could go with something completely different once I hear more about the storyline.

Dan H. - Voting for Shadowrun in person (I am not opposed to new WoD in the least, and I won't be disappointed if we play it; that said, if forced to cast a vote, it'd be for Shadowrun).  I'd be reprising my role as Melvin Richter, albeit with a few changes.  He'd still be filling a face-type role, with some secondary abilities that make him useful as an infiltrator (disguise, lying, basic hacking, etc).  He'd be light on the cybernetics, and no magic.  If we play new WoD, I'll need to learn how it works before pitching any character ideas ^_^.  I am willing to work on a d10 Shadowrun system - I have faith in our ability to make it work smoothly after seeing how well SW went.
