49 BBY

  • Coleman Kcaj takes on Akea Oahu as a Padawan learner, his first

29 BBY

  • Attains rank of Jedi Knight
  • Coleman Kcaj promoted the rank of Jedi Master

25 BBY

  • Befriends Jocasta Nu and develops a great interest in Jedi lore, spending most of his time prowling the archives

24 BBY

  • Develops fully into the serpentine (elder) stage of the Dur Sabon life cycle
  • Along with much of the Order, discovers a profound respect for and friendship with Master Coleman Trebor, who is held up as an ideal model for how Jedi should behave
  • After making it clear that he did not yet feel ready to take on a Padawan learner, he is sent by Jocasta Nu, with the blessing of the High Council, to Ossus, where he makes great strides in piecing together lost Jedi lore. Here, he gains tremendous respect for the traditions that hold throughout the Order's rich history.

22 BBY

  • Fulfilling the final wish of Coleman Trebor, delivers news of the Jedi Master's death to his home planet, Sembla
  • Sent by the council, at the urging of Jocasta Nu, on his most dangerous mission - He is ordered to Korriban, to investigate Sith history and turn up any knowledge that might help the Jedi combat the re-emerging Sith threat

21 BBY

  • Akea Oahu is called to Coruscant for re-assignment, the need for Jedi becoming even greater as the Clone Wars progress
  • Seeing that his mind and heart remain pure after a year spent studying Sith lore, both Akea himself and the Council feel he is ready to take on Padawan
  • Akea and his Padawan fight in the Clone Wars, along with most of the Jedi Order

19 BBY

  • Akea's Padawan is killed on Ossus while the pair attempted to protect the remains of the Great Jedi Library, much to his consternation
  • Strong enough in the Force to defeat his attackers, Akea is nevertheless shaken and scarred by the success of Order 66, which he perceives to be not just a failure of the Jedi Order, but a failure of Jedi philosophy as a whole
  • Frustrated, he remembers his trip to the planet Sembla, thinking its remoteness and aquatic environment will make it an ideal place to lay-low in the wake of Order 66

18 BBY

  • Oahu is hiding on Sembla, far from the reaches of the civilized galaxy. He allows those who spot him to believe he is a kind, intelligent, but perhaps non-sentient sea serpent. He continues to ponder the fate of the Jedi and the failure of its Code, his frustrations festering in his solitude.
  • Feeling himself falling to his own anger, he avoids a fall to the darkside by self-inducing selective amnesia with an ancient Force technique he mastered in the course of his studies, not knowing that this would be the key to his salvation, but no longer wishing to contemplate the Jedi Code
  • His memories of being Jedi completely suppressed, Oahu lives in solitude on Sembla, not caring to involve himself in Galactic affairs any longer. He knows not why he hides, but persists in his solitude
  • Devoid of any knowledge of his own past as a Jedi, Palpatine's galaxy-wide mind probes are unable to locate him

5 ABY

  • Akea decides it is safe to come out of hiding with the founding of the New Republic, though he still does not recall his past
  • After he finds himself succumbing to inexplicable fits of weakness, he returns to the civilized galaxy to seek help from a physician or xenobiologist
  • A New Republic physician diagnoses Oahu with an irreversible cellular degenerative disease, a terminal illness
  • Oahu begins a galaxy-wide search for some way to halt the disease's progression, all the while wondering why he was cursed with such a fate

10 ABY

  • Akea Oahu makes his way to Luke Skywalker, his legend now prevalent throughout the galaxy, and implores Skywalker to cure him
  • Although Skywalker makes an effort, he in unable to heal Oahu. During his journey into Oahu's mind, however, he manages to discover Akea's sealed memories
  • With Luke's help, Oahu reverses the mental Force-lock, but Oahu is still unable to make peace with his terminal condition, and again leaves in search of a cure

15 ABY

  • After another 5 years of fruitless searching, Oahu travels to Luke's Jedi Praxeum. His knowledge of the Force is closer to Luke's than it is any of the student's present, but Oahu nonetheless becomes Luke's student, attempting to reconcile his fate with his own interpretation of the Force. Luke and Oahu butt heads constantly, debating the necessity of focus on destiny vs. a focus on the present moment.

17 ABY

  • Oahu finally makes his peace with his pre-mature death, and, accepting this, realizes it is his duty to pass on his knowledge of the Jedi to the New Jedi Order before his time has passed. He works closely with Tionne, developing a strong friendship with her, to rebuild the Jedi Archives
  • Oahu takes on a Padawan with a strong interest in Jedi Archaeology at Luke's urging, despite his hesitance to do so. This a delight to Oahu, whose physical condition makes it difficult to directly engage in exploratory work. He, Tionne, and his padawan spend the next few years making great strides toward rebuilding the traditions of the Jedi Order.

22 ABY

  • Oahu, with the help of Luke and other Jedi at the Praxeum, has developed a method of keeping his disease at bay using the Force. This requires a constant mental effort on Akea's part, however, somewhat limiting his ability to apply his considerable Force power to its maximum extent, lest he risk allowing the disease to prgress
  • Oahu's padawan is made a Jedi Knight after a dangerous but crucial recovery mission on Ossus
  • Recognizing that Oahu had both accepted the nature of his fate and overcome his doubts about training a Padawan (his confidence had been shattered by the death of his first), Luke confers upon Oahu the title of Jedi Master. He continues to work closely with Tionne in reconstruction of the Jedi archives, and provides an alternate viewpoint to many younger Jedi seeking advice.

25 ABY

  • Present day.
